Motorola Canary (Razr 2) – Make it Pink!

Introducing the Motorola “Canary” or the Razr 2. Cute Gadgets got photos of it via Engadget, but only Cute Gadgets showed the picture I’m most interested in:

Motorola Canary Razr 2 Comparison

Yes, it’s a phone as slim as the Razr, but much less wide. No word on colors, but when it comes out in pink for Cingular, it’ll be perfect, and it will be mine all mine. With my clumsiness, I think my current phone will be dropped too many times and need a replacement by then. The Canary is set to come out in 2007, but will a pink version come quickly right after??? I can only pray! (Yes, pray! For a phone, yes sillies.)

Turn Your iPod Mini Purple!

I don’t know what I love more now, my iPod Mini in Pink, the one I’ve loved dearly for years, or this newly found purple skin for it. Uh-oh!
iSkin Mini Purple Vamp
The iSkin Mini is a slim silicone cover for the iPod Mini. And it’s currently on sale for $22.99 at the iStore (no Apple relation). It doesn’t just come in purple, but also protective pink, lime green, dark blue, black and grey. They all come with a clear screen protector, an attachable clear clip (so you don’t have to worry about giving that function up) and side “bumpies.” The iSkin allows your iPod to remain compatible with all iPod accessories.

Opted or missed out on buying an iPod mini? iSkin offers covers for all variations, including 4th Generation Skins in even more “skin tones”!

Damn, I’m envious, I could have a newer, larger iPod with a color. Then again, I like the shiny metal on my iPod Mini, so I’m really good.

Buy Dad a Personalized iPod

Apple StoreIt’s not only stylish and gadgety, but it’s sweet for your dad. Buy him a personalized iPod for Father’s Day. He loves toys, music (yeahh, grunt) and most importantly you! Now you can put all those things together with something maybe old pa wouldn’t buy himself, maybe he thinks he’s too old for technology (stuck on CDs? even records?!) or maybe he’s tight with the cash. Or maybe he can move up to his 7th iPod, like the evil one’s 70-odd somethings. Anyway, it’s a great gift for your dear dad.

A message idea? “Daddy’s Little Girl gives Dad’s Little Pod.” Ok, I’m bad at that, but you know him best!

Yahoo! Better than Google?

I’ve been doing some research, and Yahoo! is generally the biggest search engine referrer for most Lipped Media blogs (but not Style Spotlight, which does very well with Google, Google Blog Search and other sources).*

Not all stats are available on all blogs, but for Kiss Me, Stace, Yahoo! brings in nearly 20% of all traffic, about equal to any one force (the fashion blog community is one and it is pretty strong). It also brings in 4 times the traffic of MSN and over 10 times that of Google (yes, MSN does just a little better than Google, but that’s not the matter at the moment). Of course, Lipped Media’s SEO might be disliked by Google, but I know the whole family puts in a lot of effort to do things “right” (there is only grey in evil SEO) and more importantly, well. Kiss Me, Stace has a top 10 ranking in preferred keywords (and many others) on Yahoo! Could that be bad? So what does Yahoo! like differently from Google? I then ask, is Yahoo! better? (For the user, nicer, who knows, anything..)

So, I decided to test out Yahoo! a bit. (Yahoo-oo-Me!) Why stay sucked into the Google (virtual) monopoly? I thus installed the Yahoo! Toolbar … Read more »

Tatts for my Cell

Motorola Phone TattoosI’ve been wanting to pretty up my cell phone but haven’t wanted the puffy stickers that fall off or fake designer cases. So my poor lil phone has had to go out on numerous occasions, sans makeup. I was really in a bind about how I could dress up my cell until today. Motorola and Cingular just announced the latest and greatest thing—phone tattoos for the Motorola RAZR phones. The tattoos allow the customers to change the look of their handset to their own personal style.

How the Cell Phone Tattoos work:

The phone tattoos come in a 3-pack of pre-designed stickers created in various colors and patterns. The different packs include stickers of:

- Carbon Fiber, Grey Camouflage and Starburst Blue
or
- Pink Plaid, Pink Camouflage and Starburst Pink

My favorite thing about the phone tattoos is the ability to create your own tattoo.

You can get a pack of four blank tattoos that come with complete instructions on how to design and print customized tattoos which gives you the ability to show off your shoe collection, your boy toy, or just create a unique design. To create tattoos:

- Purchase Phone Tattoos By You!
- Download free software from Motorola

The great thing about the tattoos is that they can be easily peeled off and they don’t leave a residue, plus they are super cheap, only $9.99 per pack.

I’m off to get my phone tatts so I can take my phone out on the town all dolled up!
