Pink, Purple, Red … Put Old Colors to Bed – The Gadget IT Color for 2010 is…

Once upon a hey-gadgets-are-now-”cool”-for-chicks-too time, pink (or bling, sure) was all the rage. That’s still where my heart lies. But then came red and purple. I haven’t been blogging here the whole time to cover those changes but I can now announce that according to Shiny Shiny and Pantone (yes that big color trend / paint company) the color of 2010 is…

Turquoise

Shiny Shiny’s even had a turquoise-hued skin for some time now – have they been holding out?

The real question is will this unisex tone really translate to us overtly-girly chicas? It’s not even officially the on-trend color for gadgets … yet, unless it’s a Twitter-inspired thing. I just know I’m not feeling it and I’m usually quite trendy. No not even yet like I annually do for Spring bags, although I’m still loving the cool Florida/tropical winter weather! Maybe I just don’t need that perfect clear ocean color at the moment like some others do.

Oh my life! (I tease) I suppose I can just keep my pink skins. It’s not like I have all the money in the world.

Anyway, check out a mini gallery of many things turquoise.

A Classic Phone Has its Gold Anniv—Oh no it’s just actually GOLD!

Forget being classy and respecting those with practically nothing in this recession. For some retarded reason Nokia is putting out a new version of the classic (used to be regular?) 6700 in gold. Not the color, more like the karat.

The gilded object of stupidity has been defended as Nokia as being not “just about the 18-carat gold finish”.

They’re right, I would pay ~$550 for

“… custom wallpapers to complete the gold look, alongside that carry case and monster memory card. The Nokia 6700 classic Gold Edition is a well specced device, boasting a five-megapixel camera wrapped inside that glorious metal shell and of course GPS and Nokia Maps to help you find your way to the next jewelery store.”

The plating’s just gravy.
