In Girly Gadget news: Now previewing on its Japanese website is Sony’s new pink or shiny-white digital camera complete with extra details (swirls or modernesque dots) and even rhinestones.
I cannot determine the price from the page, but the specs are translated here.

The digital camcorder that was built for a woman, but strong enough for a man: RCA Small Wonder EZ101 (catch that letter/number combo?)

I’m slightly offended that this simple device was “designed … with women in mind,” because women apparently don’t need much from a camcorder. The EZ shoots for up to a half hour, runs on two AA batteries, has few buttons to set, and easily transfers small yet quality files to your t.v. or computer. These files can even be sent through e-mail easily. It’s also sleek, tiny (“2 1/4 inches wide, by 4 inches tall and 1 inch deep”) and inexpensive ($124).

Moms and dads will love to shoot family events, although in shorter clips, and guys will love to take this out to musical events, although not shooting the entire concert, or with much of a zoom, I assume.

Well, it does seem good enough for me, for the most part, if I ever need it one day, that is … if I want to shoot kids opening Christmas presents (and not have a DVD of it).
