Retro Cell Phone Receiver

Shock! There is an old-school part of me that loves the feel of those old phone receivers, shaped long to fit your hand on just right. See what I’m talking about with an actual receiver for the cell phone: Fred Cell Phone Receiver.

Fred Cell Phone ReceiverIt works with most cell phones, but comes with adapters (just in case). If you’re wondering how this is useful, I’ve just got to say, “sometimes I feel like I need to relax more than holding my (relatively) tiny phone in my hand or stuck on my shoulder. Sometimes I want to lay back on my bed and groove, baby. This phone handle looks down-right comfy!” Plus it’s cute! In red and—ooh, pink!!

(I want that!)

Rumor: Apple Cell Phone and Service in Plans

Via The Seattle Times: There has been some underground buzz about iPod makers, Apple, coming out with cell phones and even a wireless service (watch out). Last week, reports trickled to the media that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office had approved an Apple patent for a sort of portable wireless device and phone. (Garble-dy-gook to me, read here.) This is in addition to Apple applying for a trademark, earlier this year, for “Mobile Me” (a mobile phone service).

“Nobody has come up with the definitive music experience on a handset yet,” said John Jackson, a wireless industry analyst at the Yankee Group. “It’s a very open opportunity. It has powerful potential.”

I wonder what it will do for stylish phones. iPods are the best looking mp3 players around, and I believe they have such success partly due to that. I saw the Pink iPod, I had to get it, no matter what. I didn’t care about the mini size, that thing was cute. I’m very interested in seeing what they make. I want a prototype! I hear (pop-uppy site) that it could come out by 2007. Well, I wish I had a cute pic to put on the blog!

Dolce & Gabbana Razr

D & G cell phoneIf you’re lucky enough to live in certain European countries and have probably thousands of dollars to spare, you can grab (or maybe you are lucky enough to ogle in the store) a Dolce & Gabbana Razr V3i phone from Motorola (no word on a specific service provider).

It comes with some media features, but I don’t see a logo, so why bother? Me, I’m starting to yearn for the Pink Razr, now around $80 from Cingular. Now that I’ve got this gig, I figure it’s a tax write-off???!!!

Also new in luxury phones: 24 karat Gold Nokia 8800. Boy, do I feel better about my splurges.

I’m a Magpie…

Baby Phat Cell Phone Charm Lanyard… if magpie’s like pink, too—on gadgets. I’m a girly-girl. I like my little toys, but not like the boys. I don’t even like the word “gadgets.” Hmmm, maybe … “thingums.”

I like my pink iPods, shiny phone covers, girly sizes (oh, lots of guys like those, too). I like accessories/decorations and I love cases. I like cases even more than I like the gadgets (thingums), sometimes. I even have many different makeup cases (and I need to resort to using them for my “toys” (boy word, again)).

I like anything designer (don’t have it, though); I like unnecessary things, as well as functional. I love the way electronic devices improve my life or entertain me, but I just might like things more for the fashion.

I am a Gadget Girl. The female form of a gadget lover—not a gadget person, I strict the girl.
