Ooooooh those Apps are SHINY! (Apple iPhone)

Hoping to land a new job with a nice comfortable middle income, and also realizing even my small bags are now large enough for non-tiny phones (was part of my quest), and well—-a phone is a phone based on its features, but there are always PINK cases…….so…..

Well we’ve all been seeing the awesome iPhone commercials with all those Apps, those awesome apps like … a level! OK that may sound silly to you, but the iPhone apps offer more than something for everyone. The newest and coolest Apps would ensure a better quality of life for everyone who can afford it, and if you can, I think it’d be totally worth the bills!

So now … I want to get an iPhone! (With a nice leather pink tight-fitting case, thank you). Do you want one as well? Check out the recent ads…

“Green” MacBook? Apple.com Leaves us Green with Envy

This new Mac Book looks great, mix the Mac Book green with pro and make it small (13″ width, widescreen would be nice) and it could be my next computer.

It’s a good thing the economy is the way it is though, because there is no mention of this machine on Apple.com whatsoever. Or any sign of it being purchasable in the near future. No “Froogle” or news jumps out at me. (And I’m demanding and require that for it to count as marketed.)

The worst thing is that Apple.com’s search doesn’t make any sense, they promote random movies when I search for what should be Apple products. Is this some lame iTunes tie-in? That’s just what it is, lame.

Add a page for every product and/or ad you serve to TV Apple, god, I thought you were smarter than that!

At least(???) we can enjoy the above ad, but it’s kind of like the fairy tale that is the rest of our hopes for bettering our planet. It’s not like I don’t trust Barack Obama, it’s just that well, it’s lame duck season, and unfortunately that doesn’t mean hunting.

A foot note, kudos to YouTube for their new video embed. Not only does it work well with WordPress, but it matches almost any site, which is so tempting now that there are so many other embeddable video sites! I just wish the Google affiliation with it could fit into my layouts (sidebars) like these vids do my posts!! (However we can go straight to YouTube to get Google code for single videos or multiples, so although it won’t fit most sidebars, it’s a great step!) (Of course, getting revenue from embedding YouTube videos into posts is also huge incentive!)

Sudden Incompatibility Caused Major Outage

I had a piece of code in the main template file that handles most pages that worked fine until it didn’t. I didn’t upgrade the script, or make any changes. I swear, I may be a loon with no memory (ooh! shiny! look! a squirrel!) but this bit of code was there, all was fine, I did nothing, bam.

It’s all fixed now. I know about when this happened, too. I should have known to check on the site when views dropped to 0, but we just came back and then i hadn’t posted in a few days so I thought it was normal. Well, at least it wasn’t??? Heh.

Enjoy the site, yeap, no real new posts at the moment, but maybe I’ll try to update as soon as I can to make up for the lack of everything.

Even Nerds Make HUGE Decisions Based on Fashion (video)

And even male nerds. It’s at 1:12…

Normally even I wouldn’t think fashion could sway away presidential votes*, but …. ???WTF??? is that “tie”???!!!

I mean Hilary Clinton needs to go on “What Not to Wear”. Picture that blue suit from her “no decisions” speech unbuttoned and flapping away from her hips. *Shudder*

I don’t think Clinton (as in Clinton Kelly of Stacy and Clinton from WNTW*) wanted her to get more votes from the publicity (*see, not Hilary Clinton herself, she’d fight to get Iraq to vote for her if she could). I’m hoping that’s the reason she didn’t go on to get a makeover. *innocent smile* Shame, really.

Hot Mac Ad Guy in Movie!

Justin Long - AcceptedThis isn’t the newest of news, but apparently I wasn’t on my ‘puter when I first saw the commercial:

The Hot Mac Ad Guy is in a movie: Accepted!

And apparently his name is Justin Long.

The movie looks stinky but it’s nice to see the (more) ads, I guess.

Case Logic Fashion Tote Laptop CaseIt’s a thing, it’s trendy. Or it’s a new thing in our network, but I like to think it’s some cool thing. Nah. Wow, I’ve gone blabbery trying to make my intro unique and me. Anyway. This is the Related Posts from Lipped Media entry.

There’s only one this week, but that’s pretty good, although you never know what might pop up!

Pursed Lips featured a laptop bag by Case Logic that’s half stylish details, half practical business; which is pretty good.

Laptops with Mouse Trays?

I just received my new laptop, and I was struck with this thought: there should be slide out mini-mouse (he he) trays on every one (where the CD drives currently are)! Like this idea? Good, let’s get this made, people!

The 800 x 600 Problem

Oh, the stories to tell about my new laptop …. *tangent*

I’m a big designer. Ella and I became friends designing online. Oh, I mean graphic/web designing, not L’s beloved fashion illustrating.

Anyway, I helped design this layout. I design various things online and Ella was stuck at how to create this vision. I loved that vision and realized it would actually be quite easy. (From that, she lured me into this blog, actually into being very, very excited about this blog.)

But I was stepping into something bigger than I realized. Read more »

I’m a Magpie…

Baby Phat Cell Phone Charm Lanyard… if magpie’s like pink, too—on gadgets. I’m a girly-girl. I like my little toys, but not like the boys. I don’t even like the word “gadgets.” Hmmm, maybe … “thingums.”

I like my pink iPods, shiny phone covers, girly sizes (oh, lots of guys like those, too). I like accessories/decorations and I love cases. I like cases even more than I like the gadgets (thingums), sometimes. I even have many different makeup cases (and I need to resort to using them for my “toys” (boy word, again)).

I like anything designer (don’t have it, though); I like unnecessary things, as well as functional. I love the way electronic devices improve my life or entertain me, but I just might like things more for the fashion.

I am a Gadget Girl. The female form of a gadget lover—not a gadget person, I strict the girl.

(And if you’re a girly gadget lover, too, check out this cell phone charm by Baby Phat. (Picture used to illustrate my post.))
